  • Plate Glass Window and Mirror installation: As you can see from the picture there are several pieces glass that need to be replaced on the front of the building. There are windows inside the ball room that now face only brick and we would like to set mirrors into the window frames, so we will be accepting bids on this at the same time.

  • Plumbing: Position Filled. As the electrical position has been filled this is our most pressing contract. This position can, absolutely, only be filled by a state licensed Master Plumber.

  • Wood Floor Refinishing: Position Filled This will be done in stages starting with the ground floor which is around 2500 square feet. The upper floors will be done as construction materials are cleared out of the way, so bids must be broken down into each floor. The awarding of the upper floors will be subject to performance on the first floor.

  • Sheet Rock: This is also a job that will be bid in stages as we work our way through the hotel and commercial spaces. As with the floors, additional contracts will be awarded on the basis of work performance.

  • Electrical: Position Filled. The Hotel has been rewired for the most part, but there is still a fair amount of work here, including running new service to both of the large commercial spaces on the sides of the building. There is some immediate work, as well as work that will have to be done through renovation. With a building of this size, electrical will be something of a continuing job, even after renovation is complete. I will probably work with a few different contractors, before I decide on a permanent electrician.

  • Carpentry: I am looking for a company who can repair and paint the top ring of trim around the forth floor. I am balancing this bid against wrapping the building in scaffolding and doing this in house. This is the only part of the job that would make it absolutely necessary to use scaffolding, were the work to be done in house. It is also one of the jobs I least want to do in house.

  • Masonry: Position Filled This is mostly repair work on the back of the hotel kitchen, where vines were allowed to take root. There are also a few pillars that need to be added to replace the rear deck and porch.
