Canners
Can you Can, Can? One of the problems with having produce, is
getting all the produce sold in time, to make sure the produce stays fresh
and so there isn’t waste. This is why I’d like to find out if there
are skilled canners out there that would like to work with the market, to
can surplus produce. I realize there are some hurtles to this, but the
upside is incredible. There is nothing that could come close to my
grandmother, Nanny’s, canned string beans. I couldn’t believe they
came from the same planet as the canned beans in the store. The canned
items would be sold through the market and used in the Grand View, to
extend our use of local produce.
